Dwayne Clingman '82 named Central District AD of the Year

Mr. Dwayne Clingman, assistant principal and athletic/activities director at Helias Catholic High School, received the Missouri Interscholastic Activities Administrators Association’s Central District Activities Director of the Year award during the MIAAA spring conference Sunday, April 7.
Mr. Clingman has been a member of the Helias Catholic administration for seven years. He previously served three years as athletic director at Owensville High School in the Gasconade County R-2 School District, where he worked a total of 13 years.
“It’s a great honor to receive this recognition,” Mr. Clingman said. “I couldn’t do it without the coaches, administrators, and staff at Helias Catholic and especially my wife, Julie.”
He is a 1982 graduate of Helias Catholic High School and was inducted in the Helias Catholic High School Hall of Fame in 2023.
“Mr. Clingman works tirelessly to give students at Helias Catholic the best experience possible, from the classroom to athletics to clubs and activities,” said Ron Vossen, president of Helias Catholic. “We’re so proud to congratulate him for this well deserved honor.”
